Degree of wear
If the copper bushing holding dead is caused by slight impurity entry or local surface unevenness, through appropriate grinding to remove surface bumps, impurities and slight scratches, etc., in order to ensure that the copper bushing dimensional accuracy and surface roughness in line with the requirements of the case, it is possible to continue to use. For example, when the inner diameter of the copper bushing because of some tiny metal particles embedded in the hold, the removal of these particles and grinding smooth inner diameter, its normal fit clearance can be restored, you can continue to play a role.
Dimensional changes
Polishing can cause dimensional changes in the copper bushing. If grinding is done on critical fit dimensions, it may cause the originally designed fit clearance to exceed the allowable range. For example, if the copper bushing is mounted on a shaft, and if the inner diameter is too large due to grinding, it will loosen the fit between the bushing and the shaft, affecting the stability and accuracy of the equipment. In some high-precision equipment, such as the transmission components of machine tools, such dimensional changes may lead to increased vibration, decreased precision and other problems.
Internal damage conditions
It is possible that the bushing can still be used if it is only held on the surface and no internal cracks or other damages are found in the appearance check after grinding. However, if the copper bushing is held up because of damage to the internal structure due to excessive loads, impacts, etc., even if the exterior is polished, the potential internal defects may still cause the bushing to fail during subsequent use. For example, in the engine connecting rod copper sleeve, if the abnormal impact of the piston caused by the copper sleeve hold dead, the internal may have produced micro-cracks, simple grinding of the external use, these cracks may continue to expand, ultimately leading to the rupture of the copper sleeve.
Therefore, whether or not the copper bushing can be used after grinding needs to be assessed comprehensively to evaluate the degree of wear, dimensional changes and internal damage and other factors.
