The repaired eccentric copper bushing may have some impact on the performance of the crusher as follows:
Restore normal operation of the equipment
When the eccentric copper bushing is worn, if proper repair is carried out in time, the crusher can be restored to normal working condition, avoiding equipment failure and shutdown due to excessive wear of the copper bushing. For example, after repairing the worn parts by patch welding or brush plating, the gap between the copper bushing and the eccentric shaft can be restored, and the crusher can continue to operate stably, ensuring production continuity.
Cost Effectiveness
Repairing worn bushings is usually less expensive than replacing them with new ones. This saves maintenance costs and improves economic efficiency. At the same time, timely repair of copper bushings can extend the overall service life of the crusher and reduce the frequency of equipment replacement.
Dimensional accuracy problem
The repaired eccentric copper bushing may have certain differences in dimensional accuracy with the brand new bushing. For example, welding deformation may occur in the process of repair welding, resulting in changes in the inner diameter, outer diameter or cylindricity of the copper bushing dimensions. This may affect the precision of the fit between the copper bushing and the eccentric shaft as well as other components, which in turn may adversely affect the performance of the crusher. If the fit gap is not uniform, it may lead to vibration and noise increase during the operation of the crusher, and even affect the crushing effect and the service life of the equipment.
Changes in material properties
The repair process may change the material properties of the eccentric copper bushing. For example, the high temperature during repair welding will change the local material of copper bushing, and the hardness, strength and other properties may not be consistent with the original copper bushing. Although the brush plating repair of the copper bushing material is relatively small, but the bonding strength of the coating layer and the substrate may not be as uniform as the original copper bushing material. These changes in material properties may affect the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and load carrying capacity of the copper bushing, which may have an impact on the performance of the crusher. For example, reduced wear resistance may result in faster re-wear of the copper bushings, requiring more frequent maintenance or repair.
Balancing issues
Eccentric copper bushings play an important balancing role in a crusher. If the weight of the repaired bushing is not evenly distributed or differs from the original design, the dynamic balance of the crusher may be upset. This can lead to large vibrations in the crusher during operation, which not only affects the stability and reliability of the equipment, but may also cause damage to other components. For example, the vibration may subject the crusher’s bearings, gears and other components to additional stress, shortening their service life.
To summarize, the impact of repaired eccentric copper bushing on crusher performance depends on factors such as the choice of repair method, the quality of repair, as well as the testing and debugging after repair. When repairing the copper bushing, the appropriate repair method should be selected and the quality of repair should be strictly controlled to minimize the adverse effect on the performance of the crusher.
