H59 brass is a common copper-zinc alloy, the following is its detailed introduction:
Chemical composition
Copper (Cu) content of 57.0% to 60.0%, zinc (Zn) for the balance, in addition to lead (Pb) ≤ 0.5%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.01%, iron (Fe) ≤ 0.3%, antimony (Sb) ≤ 0.01%, bismuth (Bi) ≤ 0.003%, the total sum of impurities ≤ 1.0%.
Performance Characteristics
Mechanical properties: high strength and hardness, tensile strength σb ≥ 294MPa, elongation δ10 ≥ 25%, able to withstand greater mechanical stress, suitable for the manufacture of high strength and wear-resistant parts.
Processing performance: good plasticity, whether in cold or hot state, can well withstand pressure processing, such as forging, rolling, extrusion, stamping and other processing techniques, can be processed into a variety of complex shapes of the parts, for the designers and manufacturers to provide a broad creative space.
Corrosion resistance performance: general corrosion resistance, in the atmosphere, fresh water and other environments have a certain degree of corrosion resistance, but in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and other non-oxidizing acid corrosion resistance is poor. However, through reasonable surface treatment, such as galvanized, nickel-plated or coated with anticorrosive coatings, etc., can effectively improve its corrosion resistance, so as to adapt to a wider range of environments.
Thermal conductivity: Although its electrical and thermal conductivity is slightly lower than that of pure copper, it still maintains a relatively good level, and can meet the electrical and thermal dissipation equipment and other application scenarios that have certain requirements for thermal conductivity.
